Privacy policy
How we handle your personal data. Last updated 10 July 2026.
Who we are
Fixology ("Fixology", "we") operates fixology.co.uk. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
If you have any question about this policy or how we use your data, email info@fixology.co.uk.
What we collect and why
We collect only what we need. Specifically:
When you use the free AI audit
- The website address you type in. We fetch the public pages of that website to analyse it, in the same way a search engine would. We do not log in to it or access anything private.
- The audit result we generated, so we can show it to you and refer back to it if you contact us.
When you contact us or request the report by email
- Your name and email address, and, if you provide them, your phone number, company name, website and message.
- We use this solely to reply to you and to send you the report you asked for. We do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not sell or share your details with anyone for their own marketing.
Analytics and advertising (only if you accept cookies)
If, and only if, you accept optional cookies, we also collect:
- A random session identifier stored in your browser, so we can tell whether a series of actions came from the same visit.
- Pages viewed, the website address you referred from, your browser type, and any campaign (UTM) tags in the link you arrived by, so we can tell which of our ads and content actually work.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel data, used to measure our advertising.
None of this runs until you actively accept it. If you reject cookies, we do not set any of it, and we delete anything already stored. You can change your mind at any time from the cookie policy page.
Our lawful bases
| What | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Running the audit you requested and showing you the result | Performance of a contract / your request |
| Replying to your enquiry and sending the report you asked for | Legitimate interests (responding to someone who contacted us) |
| Analytics and advertising cookies | Consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| Keeping business records | Legal obligation |
Who we share it with
We use a small number of suppliers to run this website and the audit. They process data on our behalf, under contract, and cannot use it for their own purposes.
| Supplier | What they do | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosts this website | EU / global edge |
| Supabase | Stores enquiries and site analytics | London, UK |
| Anthropic | The AI that analyses the website you submit | API. Does not train models on our data |
| Resend | Sends our emails | EU / US |
| Meta | Advertising measurement, only with your consent | US |
Where data is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: for as long as we are in contact plus a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted.
- Audit records and analytics: up to 24 months.
- Anything we are legally required to keep (such as records relating to a contract): for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Have your data deleted
- Object to or restrict how we use it
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we relied on consent
- Ask for your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these, email info@fixology.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be made clear on the site.
